Description
Volunteer co-facilitators are needed to assist in delivering restorative justice programming.
Volunteers will assist caseworkers in co-facilitating talking circles with persons in conflict with the law, persons harmed, community agencies, and community representatives to identify root causes of harm, and help to create a plan for all parties to move forward.
Meetings may occur in Sydney at our office, or in communities where harm was done. Facilitating programs may also be necessary depending on comfort levels.
Seekings persons in the following communities and their surrounding areas:
-Sydney
-Glace Bay
-New Waterford
-North Sydney
-Baddeck
-Port Hawkesbury
Qualifications: an interest in community development, 19+, clear criminal record check and clerar child abuse registry check.
