Cape Breton University (CBU) is looking for Project Coordinator under the direction of Dr. Carrie Karsgaard for an innovative project empowering youth as critical voices in climate decision-making. This initiative aims to transition students from activism to influential roles in policy creation, collaborating with educators and youth across 12 high-emission nations and 26 Canadian schools. This role is for approximately 2 years (Subject to External Funding).

In this role, you will work closely with the Principal Investigator, research team, and high school educators to coordinate a global networked classroom focused on climate change and energy transition. Your responsibilities will include organizing project activities, managing communications with stakeholders, documenting progress, and facilitating workshops and events. You’ll also be involved in budgeting, travel coordination, and supporting data collection efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree, experience with project coordination, and proficiency in collaborative tools like Google Suite. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with a proactive approach, are essential. You should be willing to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
