Position
Summary:
EverWind Fuels is embarking on a Clean Energy Project that will create
Nova Scotia’s first green hydrogen production facility and unlock the potential
of Nova Scotia’s green economy. In addition to the Point Tupper Clean Energy
Project, EverWind operates the Point Tupper Terminal which has 7.5 million
barrels of storage capacity and specializes in storage, blending and
transshipping of petroleum and petrochemical products.
Reporting to the Terminal Services Manager, the Inventory Analyst
performs inventory duties related to the receipt, storage, shipment, blending,
and treatment of petroleum products including but not limited to crude oil,
gasoline, fuel oil and refined products via ocean going tankers and the
loading/unloading of tanker trucks according to EverWind policies and
procedures.
Education
and Experience Requirement:
- Completion of a post-secondary education
in a related discipline is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft
Office, specifically in Excel
- Strong math, verbal, written, communication,
interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy
- Previous experience in the oil/gas industry, specifically in inventory, inspection, loss control, terminal or refinery operations.
- Knowledge of API’s Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards an asset.
Major Accountabilities:
- Complete
daily, monthly, and annual inventory reports and deliver to management,
interdepartmental groups and customers according to regulatory,
contractual and EverWind loss control requirements. (Daily Inventory,
Loss/Gain, Berth Utilization, Notable Tanks, Loss Control, Customer daily
inventory reports, and Marketing Analysis)
- Perform vessel
reconciliation while ensuring the completion and distribution of required
documentation.
- Complete task orders according to
customer and Terminal requirements
- Maintain inventory and vessel files, including customer communication records, and time logs from inspectors and agents.
- Perform customs related functions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit all Canada Border Services Agency required documentation, including CARM (CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management System) entries.
- Perform relevant data entry, such as OMM
data entry.
- Prepare files for long term storage.
- Prepare and maintain reports, databases, spreadsheets, and files, such as: dock schedule, H2S report, vessel forecast, customer activity reports, and Terminal thruput report.
- Update completed task orders.
- Perform quarterly file audits.
- Provide coverage for other members of the Inventory Department as required.
- As part of a 24/7 operation, the employee must be available to respond to calls and emails as well as perform job duties after hours as required.
- Ensure compliance with EverWind policies and procedures.
- Participate in Oil Spill Preparedness exercises.
- Provide administrative support to Point Tupper Leadership Team when needed.
- Assist in covering Terminal Services Manager when necessary
- Perform other duties as required.
