Description
Program Coordinators – Two Part-Time Positions:
Inverness County (1) and Port Hawkesbury/Richmond County (1)
The work will focus on organizing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, partnership management, work plans/schedules, program statistics and reports, site visits, occupational health and safety, evaluation (program and staff), and administrative work. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinators help ensure that the organization works within its mission to meet its overall goals and objectives. While the work takes place in a unionized environment, this position is not a bargaining unit position. The office locations for these positions are Lennox Passage and Inverness. Hours to be determined
Education and Experience
· University
degree in Human Resources, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences or
related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
· Understanding
of population health promotion and adult education principles;
· Minimum five
years of Management experience in community development or related field;
· Previous
experience working with families with children who are part of the intended
population of the organization;
- Human Resource/Services
managerial training;
· A working
knowledge of government and community-based programs and services that relate
to the intended population’s needs;
· Knowledge of applicable Employment Support Income Assistance, Day Care, and Child Welfare legislation

- Ability to communicate in
both English and French
· Demonstrated

or publicly funded groups, agencies and organizations, and government

ability to work with families living in difficult life circumstances
· Excellent computer literacy
