No experience is necessary. We are looking for a team player with an excellent work ethic. The successful candidate will look forward to learning, then doing the following activities:
● Following the highest standards, you will clean and sanitize:
○ Tanks, totes, drums, barrels (inside and out, all nooks and crannies)
○ Process equipment - pumps, filters, hoses, clamps, fittings
○ All surfaces including floors, walls, tables, shelving
○ Packaging supplies and equipment - kegs, keg caps, keg filler, bottler, etc.
○ Testing equipment and lab area
○ Ingredient storage areas
● Organize and declutter production, warehouse, and lab.
● Following the highest standards of safety:
○ Work with various chemicals for cleaning, sanitizing and testing. Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) supplied and must be worn when required.
○ Work with CO2 and CO2 tanks
○ Use ladders
○ Operate pallet jack
○ Operate pressure washer
● Package cider with keen eye for detail and quality:
○ Work on canning line, inspecting cans for damage, packing boxes and pallets
○ Bottle cider, inspecting fill lines, packing boxes and palettes
○ Keg cider inspecting cleanliness, volumes, and damage
● Label packaged products
● Prepare orders for shipment
● Do weekly deliveries to restaurants/pubs/bars on Cape Breton Island
● Do weekly keg collection
● Communicate with other staff
● Pitch in on tasks that are outside core responsibilities as production schedule allows
We are looking for someone who/who is:
● Comfortable with a physically challenging job
● Able to lift 50+lbs on a regular basis
● Able to work long hours on their feet, standing on a concrete floor
● Able to spend the day doing repetitive tasks and motions
● Enjoys cleaning, organizing, and working with their hands
● Efficient and practical
● Trustworthy
● Highly safety conscious
● Doesn’t mind getting cold & wet, and are ok with spending the day in rubber boots
● Receptive to direction and constructive feedback
● Has own transportation and a valid Driver’s License
● Has flexible availability, can work some evenings and weekends or potentially long hours, as needed
● A team player who wants to work in a place where people enjoy their job and love helping each other to achieve daily goals

● Certified in WHIMIS and Confined Space
