We are currently seeking a highly motivated Sanitization Supervisor to join our Operations team in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

About the Role

As the Sanitization Supervisor, you will lead and oversee all sanitation activities within our production facility, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and employee safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sanitation professional who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop sanitation team members to ensure safe and effective performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise sanitation activities across all areas of the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, Occupational Health & Safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor ATP and microbiological testing results and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain sanitation records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Optimize sanitation processes, chemical usage, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with chemical suppliers and service providers to improve sanitation effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper waste handling and environmental compliance.
  • Promote a culture of food safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading sanitation teams in food processing, seafood processing, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, chemical applications, and cleaning systems.
  • Experience working within HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, and OH&S programs.
  • Experience interpreting ATP and microbiological testing results.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
