Description

Help build a sustainable future with us! ACAP Cape Breton is looking for new board members for a two-year term, beginning in September 2026.

We're looking for enthusiastic, dedicated board members from anywhere in Cape Breton-Unama'ki. Previous board experience is not required. Please note that this is a volunteer position.

Position requirements:

  • Resident of Cape Breton/Unama'ki;
  • Member of ACAP Cape Breton or willing to sign up;
  • Wiling and able to commit to regular meetings (~6 board meetings per year, conducted every other month; virtual attendance is acceptable)
  • Willing and able to actively participate in board meetings, subcomittee meetings, the Annual General Meeting, and board training;
  • Committed to adhering to the ACAP Cape Breton goals and values.

Board Composition

The ACAP Cape Breton board consists of 5-12 elected directors The Executive committee includes a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
