Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for transporting goods to customers in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver's license, 3 years of truck driving experience in Canada, a clean driving record, and excellent customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport goods to customers in a timely manner
  • Load and unload items from the delivery vehicle
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
  • Maintain the delivery vehicle in good working condition
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team
  • Follow the route and schedule deliveries
  • Inspect and load product
  • Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
  • Lift and carry products into customers’ homes with no damages, and assemble as required
  • Perform in-home customer service
  • Document delivery status and fill daily driver's log/ e-log
  • Complete driver check-in, including proper accounting of merchandise and invoicing

Requirements:

  • Delivery experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (class 5 only is needed) ~ Graduated is NOT sufficient
  • Current Driver’s Abstract (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months)
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Loading the delivery vehicle from a staging area
  • Delivering to residential locations
