Description
The Municipality of the County of Victoria is hiring a full-time permanent Manager of Communications based out of the Municipal Administration Building in Baddeck, Nova Scotia.
This position is responsible for providing strategic direction for communications, and overseeing the planning, creation, and delivery of a variety of communication, public education, engagement, and outreach initiatives. The successful individual will provide leadership on all matters related to communicating with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for coordinating communication services for the municipality including, but not limited to, media relations, issues management, marketing, social media, content generation, and public announcements/documents.
Term: Full-time; permanent; non-unionized
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Salary Range: $71,937.20 to $94,153.10 (Grade 4)

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a senior communications role, preferably in government/public sector.
- Three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License.
