Description
The
Strait Superport Board oversees the development and promotion of the Strait of
Canso as a vital transportation and shipping hub, with objectives including the
planning and upgrading of port infrastructure, identifying opportunities for
cargo and traffic, and advocating on harbor management issues. The Board is
made up of volunteer directors who bring leadership and a deep understanding of
marine issues, with members representing various sectors such as shippers, ship
service providers, municipalities bordering the Strait, the provincial
government, the Strait Area Chamber of Commerce, and First Nations communities.
